CEO & President
Scott started at Steed Construction while obtaining his education from Utah State and Boise State Universities. With over 28 Yearsβ experience working in the construction Industry, he has held several roles including Laborer, Project Engineer, Superintendent, Project Manager and Account Manager before leaving the company to work in the development arena. Scott returned to Steed Construction in 2012 as the Vice President over the Utah office before being promoted to President and COO in 2021.
Over his career Scott has built lasting relationships and has been involved with numerous projects ranging from office buildings and schools to retail, hotels, and resort condominiums. He is a founding family member of the Rolling Hills Charter School serving as a committee member for site selection and construction. He also served on the Boise City Climate Control Advisory Board and before starting his career, Scott served a full-time mission in Samoa.
Scott and his wife Allyson live in Utah and enjoy spending time in the outdoors with their family.
Executive Vice President & Chief Estimator
After obtaining his education at West Valley College and Boise State University, Chris began his career in law enforcement before joining Steed Construction in 2001. During his 20+ years at Steed Construction he has served as an Estimator, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Compliance officer and Manager of our Estimating department before advancing to Vice President where he still oversees estimating as well as safety and compliance programs.
His vast experience in pricing and managing a wide variety of projects continues to add true value to our teams and all the projects he is involved with. Chris is also a credentialed LEED Green Associate.
Chris enjoys serving others and has been a volunteer Police Officer for over 18 years. His other hobbies include auto mechanics, off-roading and gunsmithing.
Chris and his wife Sarah live in Eagle. They have 4 daughters, 2 fun grandsons and 2 dogs.
Vice President
During his career, Rob has been involved in several aspects of the construction and property industry. His range of experience includes selling truck and rail car loads of dimensional lumber, sheet goods, and engineered wood systems, working as a licensed commercial building inspector, negotiating ground and facility leases, public debt financing, and serving as the construction manager for complex public work products totaling over $250 million.
This variety of experience helps him bring a broad range of perspectives to keeping even the most challenging projects moving forward.
His preconstruction efforts at Steed are focused on helping clients bring their projects to reality and understanding their priorities so the project can be delivered in a manner that brings as much benefit to the owner as possible.
Rob, his wife Ashley, and two daughters live in Eagle, ID. They are often found on the trails, at the lake, or enjoying their community with friends and family.
Controller
Sara began her career in construction in 1996, working for Kerbs Construction. In 2000, she began working as the Office Manager and Controller for Hansen Construction before joining Steed Construction in 2010 where she has held several positions involving accounting and project support.
Her knowledge and experience has been a real asset in helping us get established in the Utah market. Now serving as the companies Controller, Sara and her staff oversee all our accounting, payroll, and employee benefit functions company wide.
Saraβs lifelong passion has been rescuing animals, primarily dogs and helping them find good homes. At any given time, she could be sheltering 2 to 8 dogs while they transition into new homes.
Sara and her husband Andy live in Salt Lake City with their 3 children and lots of furry friends.
